Andover Newton student awarded OSC grant

Each year Andover Newton Theological School awards one student, pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry in Pastoral Care, a grant through the Christenson Scholarship Fund. Old South Church established this fund in memory of Rev. Robert H. Christenson who served as our Associate Minister from 1978-1989, and who worked in pastoral counseling. The Christenson Scholarship Fund continues to make an important contribution to the development of tomorrow's religious and spiritual leaders.

This year's recipient is Youssef Clement, a Catholic eastern rite religious priest, a member of the Basilian Salvatorian Order of Methuen, MA, and the Catholic Diocese of Newton of the Melkites in the U.S. As a pastor for more than 20 years, he has acquired different pastoral skills to minister to all kinds of people, from Egypt, through Europe and Canada, to the U.S.
